Trail

 

Each classroom has a piece of sensory equipment outside which makes up part of our sensory trail! This extends throughout the whole school. Our sensory trail supports self-regulation, physical development, fine motor skills and problem solving. We have 8 different sensory trails to follow which encourage the use of a range of skills.

Room

 

Our Sensory room provides a quiet space to relax and explore the senses, through:

• Projector

• Relaxing sounds

• Soft furnishing

• Cuddly toys and sensory toys

• Fidget toys

 

The curtains, along with black out walls/ceiling allow for this room to offer a truly separate space to the rest of the school. It is a space that can be accessed by children of all ages across the school, both independently and with adult support for co-regulation.
