Tigers
Welcome to the Tiger Class

In our Lions class, Mrs. Palmer teaches on a Monday and Tuesday.
On Wednesday mornings, the students split into smaller revision groups. These have a focus on maths, SPaG or grammar. Mrs. Stewart will then teach the class between break and lunch. Either Mrs. Palmer or Miss. Motion will be teaching on the Wednesday afternoon.
On Thursday and Friday, Miss. Motion will be teaching the class.
Miss Simmons, our Lions classroom assistant, will be support children in the classroom throughout the week.

Tiger Reminders!
This term, children from Tigers will be going swimming on Monday afternoons. Our PE lessons will be on Wednesday (taught by Mr Bolton).
Swimming reminder: Swimming costume (girls, one piece swimsuit and boys, swimming trunks), all children must have a hat and a towel.
Please remember that on our PE days, children should come to school wearing their school uniform and must bring their PE kit in a separate bag (children will no longer be wearing their PE kit for the whole day).
Please remember: PE kit is a plain white T-shirt, hoodie, plain shorts/joggers and trainers. No football shirts.
For safety, please ensure earrings are removed and long hair is tied back on both of these days.
We are all looking forward to a very successful year with our class.
Please, if you have any questions or worries do not hesitate to contact me on Class Dojo!
Homework
Weekly homework will be sent home each Friday and this should be completed and handed in no later than the following Wednesday.
In addition, we are requesting for Year 5/6 classes to:
1. Read every day and regularly complete the Accelerated Reader tests after each book that they read. Children are able to take these tests at home, following this link: https://global-zone61.renaissance-go.com/welcomeportal/2248283
Please record any reading at home in their red reading logs.
2. Practise their multiplication and division using Times Table Rockstars.
3. Practise the handwriting exercise that they bring home each week.
4. Practise their spellings - these will be given out on a Friday and tested on the following Friday.
